New research has found that Peterborough is amongst the UK cities that is emitting the most CO2 per 10,000 people. Whilst there is a push for people to reduce their carbon footprint the city is producing some of the biggest CO2 emissions by population.
Experts at Utility Bidder carried out research that revealed which UK cities had the highest CO2 emissions, as well as those with the highest emissions per 10,000 residents. Also, the sectors producing the most CO2 emissions and the UK cities where residents can be named the most eco-conscious.
From this, it named Peterborough as one of the UK cities emitting the most CO2 per 10,000 people. The city comes in 10th place, emitting around 52.38 kt of CO2 per 10,000 people.
