Tickets now on sale check out our other post where the ticket link is !! 👻👻!! EXCLUSIVE To fright nights – 👻The Fright Nights Norfolk and Suffolk team are very excited to bring you a ghost hunt at the very active Hintlesham Hall Hotel. Hintlesham Hall dates back to the fifteenth century and started off as a small moated manor house before being rebuilt and extended then in 1724 underwent major construction by then owner Richard Powys and now boasts a magnificent Georgian front with original features. Richard Powys passed away in 1743 and his widow sold the property to Richard Lloyd in 1747 and after his death in 1761 it was passed down to his son Richard savage Lloyd. Richard Savage Lloyd was married and had three children with his first wife, two boys and a girl and after the passing of his wife Richard did remarry. Richards second wife took a disliking to his daughter and while away on business his daughter became very unwell and upon his return she was too unwell to be saved. Richard was told by various sources that his new wife was the reason for the child’s death so as a form of punishment Richard had an effigy of the child just before her death made and placed on the landing of the grand staircase for her to see each day. Many notable people have owned Hintlesham Hall ranging from members of parliament to countesses and now stands as a luxurious hotel.
The Hauntings: visions of Richards second wife have been seen on the grand staircase and in the library, children have been seen and heard though out the hotel, footsteps and evp’s heard and poltergeist activity witnessed by staff and guests alike in the bedrooms ( of which we have access to six on the night! )
